Ink technology

What does UV visible ink mean?
The technological essence of this ink lies in the integration of highly sophisticated fluorescent pigments, known as phosphors. These particles are designed to operate on the principle of selective absorption and emission of light. In normal daylight and artificial lighting, the pigments are visually completely neutral and show no color, which makes them invisible on the surface of the material. However, once the surface is exposed to a targeted source of UV radiation (of a specific wavelength), the phosphors absorb this invisible energy and subsequently emit it back as visible light. This process is instantaneous and highly reliable, allowing for quick verification of authenticity or reading of hidden codes in semi-dark or specifically lit areas. In addition, this technology is fully compatible with a wide range of carrier bases, which means that its extraordinary fluorescent properties can be applied to almost any substrate without compromising print quality or durability.

Available ink variants UV VISIBLE INK

Ink Type Color Markup sample Description Dry time Decap time Drying method Shelf life
UV VISIBLE RED Safety UV glowing red ink marking example A specialized security solvent ink is designed for applications requiring covert marking that is virtually invisible under normal light, but emits a deep orange-red luminescence at a wavelength of 610 nm under UV radiation with a wavelength of 365 nm. This highly luminescent ink is optimal for ensuring the authenticity of products on non-porous materials or for internal logistics production management, while complying with the RoHS standard. Due to the nature of the pigments, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure of the printed code to direct sunlight, which may lead to a more gradual degradation of the luminescent effect. 1 - 5 seconds 60 min Air 9 months
UV VISIBLE BLUE Safety UV luminous blue ink marking example High-contrast invisible solvent-based ink is an effective tool for security marking, where the printed motif remains transparent under standard conditions and reveals its blue luminescence (435 nm) only when irradiated with UV light with a wavelength of 365 nm. Thanks to its excellent adhesion to non-porous materials and high density of luminescent particles, it is ideal for hidden product identification and brand protection, while complying with RoHS legislation. Please note that in order to maintain the long-term intensity of luminescence, it is not advisable to expose prints to direct sunlight for a long time. 1 - 5 seconds 60 min Air 9 months
COMFORT UV VISIBLE RED Safety UV luminous red ink marking example Water-based security luminescent ink is specially developed for discrete coding of porous materials, where when activated by UV radiation with a wavelength of 365 nm, it emits a bright orange-red color at a wavelength of 610 nm. The unique formulation allows for instant drying without the need for infrared heating, which streamlines production processes in the field of document security or packaging materials. The ink combines a high level of security with ease of application in printing lines where the emphasis is on more environmentally friendly water-based media. 1 - 2 seconds 60 min Air 12 months
