Ink technology

What does UV visible ink mean?
The technological essence of this ink lies in the integration of highly sophisticated fluorescent pigments, known as phosphors. These particles are designed to operate on the principle of selective absorption and emission of light. In normal daylight and artificial lighting, the pigments are visually completely neutral and show no color, which makes them invisible on the surface of the material. However, once the surface is exposed to a targeted source of UV radiation (of a specific wavelength), the phosphors absorb this invisible energy and subsequently emit it back as visible light. This process is instantaneous and highly reliable, allowing for quick verification of authenticity or reading of hidden codes in semi-dark or specifically lit areas. In addition, this technology is fully compatible with a wide range of carrier bases, which means that its extraordinary fluorescent properties can be applied to almost any substrate without compromising print quality or durability.
